China – architecture and landscape “is the successful book , which Ernst Boerschmann published in 1923 The title can be interpreted programmatically, because the relationships between these two aspects interested architects Boerschmann with his lifelong research on the architecture in China. He was worldwide the first to professionally who dealt with this topic, but faded into oblivion after his death in 1949. He was traveling in 1906-1909 for three years in China and documented several hundred buildings in the early 20th century. Dr. Eduard Koegel researched several years to the work of Ernst Boerschmann and presents his work with historical materials.
